The New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) was created in 1961 to help lawyers keep abreast of legal developments, aid them in becoming proficient in selected areas of law and assist them in maintaining a high level of professional competence. During its first year, NJICLEoffered 11 courses, attracting more than one thousand attorneys. The scope of NJICLE’s service to the bench and bar increased dramatically over the past 50 years. The Institute now presents more than 275 live and online seminars annually throughout the State, offers audio/video CLE packages, develops software programs specifically designed for the practicing attorney and publishes comprehensive treatises and lecture handbooks. More than 35,000 lawyers, judges, and other interested parties avail themselves of these services each year.
