Shareholder

Daniel L. Mellor, J.D., LL.M., is a Shareholder at Kulzer & DiPadova, P.A., delivering tax and estate planning solutions to clients in Central and South Jersey.

Mr. Mellor’s estate practice encompasses estate planning and administration for clients of all income levels. He regularly handles complex—and potentially litigious—family and business situations, including succession planning. Mr. Mellor is also an experienced probate litigator, navigating various trust & estate disputes, such as will contests, incapacity and undue influence claims, challenges to executor or trustee conduct, accounting disputes, and guardianships. He has substantial appellate experience, successfully representing clients before the New Jersey Appellate Division in estate matters.

His tax practice centers on taxation of small businesses, such as partnerships, LLCs, and S corporations. In addition to providing basic advice and services—business formation, choice of entity, transactions—his particular focus is on maximizing the value of new business tax credits. Most recently, Mr. Mellor has provided hands-on assistance with the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)–personally preparing and filing dozens of claims–and currently working with multiple clients to identify and correct errors made by third-party preparers or the IRS itself. Previously, Mr. Mellor wrote and lectured extensively on the Section 199A Qualified Business Income (QBI) deduction and Sections 162 and 263 tangible property regulations.

Mr. Mellor is active in the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, and local county bars. He serves as a Trustee of the Camden County Bar Association and the Camden County Bar Foundation and previously contributed to the NJ State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Executive Committee.
